Easter 2012

I love this holiday. I has such a wonderful meaning to it. It means more to me now that I have a family of my own. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me. So I could live with my precious family for all Eternity.

This Easter was so beautiful. The weather was perfect very warm and refreshing. I was excited this year since Izzy is getting to the age where she is more understanding of things. Our day started out with a small egg hunt. She figured it out but would get distracted. It was still cute to see her. We then took her into see what the Easter Bunny had left. She was spoiled this year. She got a play kitchen that she LOVES!! She also got a fun shopping cart and Lego's from Mimi and Grandpa. She found the Lego's hiding in the closet before Easter and pulled them out and was relentless about the being opened. Needless to say she has been enjoying them all week. Perfect for this little munchkin.

After we relaxed and got ready for church. It was such a great day to enjoy the spirit.

Then we got to go enjoy family time with the Durbano's. I have some of the best in-laws possible. I love to spend time enjoying all of their company. We had a yummy turkey dinner and cupcakes. Izzy got spoiled by her Grandma and Grandpa Durbano too. Lots of love from them as well. She loved the bubble gun! I have to keep it out of sight or she would have me doing bubbles all day long.

We also had a fun Adult Easter egg hunt at dusk. Izzy and Avery kept Doug and Shawna busy chasing them around while we hunted for the eggs. It was a blast. I love having such wonderful family. I am truly blessed.

Friday we colored eggs with Shawna, Natalie, and Avery. It was fun, but very destructive with the little ones. We only salvaged half of the eggs after all was said and done. Izzy loved smashing them in her hands and dropped them a few times. It was fun to do anyway.

Dinosaur Park Fun

Tuesday of this week we got to go to the new City Creek mall and check out the Dinosaur Park play area with some friends. Izzy had a blast playing around and climbing on everything with out getting into trouble for climbing it was heaven for her. The only thing that would have made it even better is if it hadn't been spring break. Since it was there were a lot of older kids that I had to watch to make sure that they didn't trample my little Izzy.
Thanks Marina, Mo, Lindsey, and Shelby for inviting us to play!
(I have some cute video of Izzy going down the slide that I will post soon.)

Joy and Trials

Today has been one of those days. It started out very early for our family and just continued to be an off day. Izzy has been teething for the last week and I can't wait for all of those teeth to pop through. Which means she has been moody, runny nose, congested and in pain. She still is such a little trooper, but at night she turns into a very needy/fussy girl. I don't blame her. She went down early last night and woke early this morning causing our daily routine to be off schedule. Not feeling t0o bad about this I left her in bed with daddy watching a cartoon while I went to the doctor for my 24 week check up. She was almost asleep before I left. Figuring that she was going to take an early nap I ran to the doctor in hopes of returning home to my bed for some much needed shut eye. No such luck. Minutes after arriving home she woke up. The day continued this way every time I had her down I would long for my bed, but never able to make it there due to appointments here at the house.

There was a moment today that I longed for the option to call in sick... But there is no such luck in the mommy department. It always seems like when I have those brief moments of weakness and guilt for feeling this way. I stop and count my blessings. As I snuggled Izzy in my arms enjoying this sweet beautiful girl I soak up this time we have together, and have excitement for what is to come as her baby sister kick her. I love these moments. They are the most precious moments to me.

I love this girl and her personality. She keeps me on my toes and smiling all day even when she is being mischievous. I am excited for her to be a big sister, but also very nervous about this next chapter in life. I pray for the energy to keep up with her and make sure that she is getting more than enough love and attention she needs.

Being a mother is an indescribable position to be able to be blessed with. There are far more ups than downs. Along with new experience only found in being a mother. I have new respect for my mother and all that she did for me growing up. I am so touched that Heavenly Father has blessed me with this opportunity.

I love you Izabella! I am so grateful for the time we get to spend together and for your sweet spirit. For those looks that has your daddy written all over it. For keeping me on my toes and training me to be more relaxed mom and enjoy life more.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Izzy and I decided to celebrate the day by making some chocolate cupcakes and dropping them off to some family. Izzy is in the fun stage where she really wants to help, but has to have A LOT of supervision. We had a blast mixing the cupcakes and she put all of the liners in the cupcake tins. And she got to lick her first spoon! She LOVED it!
After she had it all over herself and hands she would shake her hands trying to get the batter off. I loved watching her with the new experiences. After being cleaned up and frosting the cupcakes she helped me put sprinkles on the cupcakes (and the kitchen floor). I am lame and forgot to get a finished picture of the cupcakes...

And her Mimi made the granddaughters cute matching shirts and this is Izzy sporting hers! Loved it.

*She loves to be naked and runs away when you try to get her dressed
especially after bath time

(She loves her daddy so much! I love them both)
(She looks like a big girl and it breaks my heart she is growing so fast)

Nate and I are loving every moment with this adventurous little one. There are moments and times that I am exhausted from trying to keep up with her, but I love her so much. It is amazing how much love you can have for your children. I can't imagine life without her sweet personality. She is still such a good girl. She is going to be a great big sister! Peanut mom and dad love you to pieces I wish I could slow down time because it is going by very fast. Too fast for my liking.

The new baby has been letting me know of its presents of late. She has been kicking and moving all around. I love the little flutters.
